Adkrete Concrete Services, Inc. provides “Turnkey” Stamped Concrete surfaces. Stamped Concrete is a decorative finishing technique achieved by first adding a “base” color directly into the concrete truck when it arrives onsite. Once the concrete is placed, screeded and then floated, the decorative process of stamping begins. A secondary, highlighting color is broadcast over the entire area. This highlighting color has two purposes; one is to add the secondary color to achieve a more natural, mottled look. The second purpose of the broadcasted color is to allow the rubber stamps to imprint the concrete and release without pulling any concrete up when the stamp is removed. The secondary color is know as the “Release Agent”. After the entire area has been stamped and allowed to dry (cure) for a couple days, Adkrete comes back to remove the majority of the release agent. All that is left behind is just enough in the lower, imprinted areas to achieve a natural, multicolor effect. Once the proper amount of release agent is removed, and the concrete is properly cleaned, Adkrete applies a very unique sealer to the concrete. We use a state of the art, cutting edge sealer known as PAP (Polyaspartic Aliphatic Polyurea). The technology of the PAP sealer is relatively new to the industry. PAP sealers are much stronger and durable than epoxy sealers and they do not yellow. PAP sealers are ideal for exterior decorative concrete.
